Won't lie, her family, whoever and whatever they are, truly raised a good and happy woman, not to forget a positive example of what a fine member of the bourgeoisie could be. Bit of a shame her yuri loving tendencies are downplayed in the anime though.

Judging by the end credits songs for the show and The Movie (implied to be set years later after they finished college and finally achieved their dreams of going to fame and starpower), Mio Akiyama appears to have finally embraced her inner and outer kawaiiness, complete with a noticeably new tinge of fierceness and experience.
